what should i do?

the resume on the left is mine (i made it in 2010, it was featured on mashable (and subsequently a number of other sites) the summer 2011). the resume on the right was “made” (using that word very lightly) by some guy named alex ludwig in what appears to be late 2011.

the “marketing, communication, & pr professional” didn’t even bother to remake my resume so much as add boxes of his information on top of it (in a mismatching font). the issue here isn’t a question of if he’s ripping off my design (he is). but i’m unsure how to handle this kind of thing.

so, what do you think, friends? how do i deal with somebody copying my work for their own benefit?

  1. jermbob answered: Idk, but your resume is gorgeous…I want one.
  2. callyourgurlfriend answered: Send him an email. That’s your work and unless he pays you for it, he should know better than to steal it.
  3. mightyblend answered: Wow. He didn’t even try. I have no idea what you do, but I want to hear what you decide.
  4. collectiveeffervescence answered: Call him and have a long talk about what it means to be an artist and how offended you are.
  5. firstsight answered: Cease and Desist. Contact him and punch him in the face via e-mail.
  6. m-neal answered: Contact him and ask him to re-do it
  7. dailybranflakes answered: Contact him and let him know what’s up. If he doesn’t reply, there honestly isn’t much you can do. He’ll be outed when it comes to interviews
